Remember that i posted a story some days back that Abubaka shekau, the leader of the dreaded islamic group, Boko Haram, might have been killed? well yes its been confirmed.
Defence authorities say he was killed in one of the four encounters with the insurgents in Kodunga,Borno.
His body was identified to be that of Abubakar Shekau who has also beared different names in the past.
In the mean time, Cameronian troops are claiming victory noting that they killed the leader of the islamic sect.
However, the director defence information Maj. Gen Chris Olukolade has dismissed the claim that the camerionian troops killed Abubakar Shekau within Nigeria adding that Nigerian troops who repelled an attack in Kodunga last week captured a high ranking terrorist leader who is now receiving treatment in a military medical facility.
